The Summer School
A theoretical and hands-on experience in theatre in (post) conflict communities

The Summer School is international and designed for undergraduate students from the Humanities,  Social Sciences and other disciplines, interested in attaining knowledge and tools in theatre and performance, as they relate to community.  It is hosted by the Department of English Studies of the University of Cyprus in Nicosia (Cyprus), in partnership with Brandeis University's Program in Peacebuilding and the Arts, USA.

Basic Elements of the TPCC
  1. Our philosophy
    The partnership between institutions, scholars and creators, generates an environment of dialogue and innovation. The Department of English Studies of UCY is proud to host TPCC, in partnership with Brandeis University's Program in Peacebuilding and the Arts, in this spirit of creativity and social awareness.
  2. The Program
    A balance between theory and practice, with morning lectures and afternoon workshops, free time and incubation time for creativity and sharing, parallel activities and trips.
  3. The Instructors
    The Summer School is fortunate to have engaged top academics and theatre practitioners from Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean, Europe and the USA.
